2009 年8 月某日午後甫接系主任職務的我，在辦公室見到一位秀外慧中的女士，自我介紹叫陸孟雁，詢問是否有教職缺，因對她小時候在國外長大、輔大研究所甫畢業，即來系上任教過有特別印象，加上翻譯課尚缺一位教師，欣然邀請她加入教師行列。中斷教學多年之後，她得以重拾教鞭、發揮她對教學的熱情至今。
