「坐月子」是每個婦女人生中的大事，在你我父母的年代裡，對於女兒的產後照顧，必須遵守古人留下來的傳統流程、禁忌，絲毫都不能馬虎。然而在現今社會中，不少媽媽們卻認為那些都是繁文縟節，尤其近年來台灣婦女生子的年齡日趨年長，對於坐月子這件事更加謹慎，有不少產婦甚至捨棄了傳統在家坐月子的習慣，選擇透過「產後護理中心(也就是俗稱的月子中心)」的科學化方式來打理產婦的生活起居及產後照顧。
