　　「治理」是指統理一個組織的過程，以確保管理與策略的指引朝向對的方向邁進，進而實踐組織的宗旨與使命。社會企業具有「社會目標」及「營利需求」的雙重目標，該如何達到上述兩者，必須深究其治理的方法與策略。

　　本書內容包括社會企業治理的組織結構與功能、領導階層的組成與角色功能、治理與社會影響，以及與營利部門跨界合作等相關議題。最後以工作整合型社會企業、社區型社會企業、社會合作社三種類型，列舉數個臺港社會企業，比較治理上的異同，藉由不斷深化的探索與研究，為瞭解社會企業的存在樣貌或營運特性，開闢一條新道路。
