동네에서 가장 친한 형인 상훈과 그저 즐기는 관계로 지내고 있다.
평소처럼 그가 혼자 잔뜩 즐긴 뒤에 조만간 지방으로 발령이 나서 떠난다고 했다. 이미 별다른 감정이 없어 아무렇지 않았다. 그동안 쌓인 피로나 풀려고 사우나에 갔다가 다시 그와 마주쳤다. 혼자가 아니라 대학 후배라는 준성과 같이 있는 모습을 보자 가슴이 쿵쾅거리며 빠르게 뛰었다.
“선배, 친구?”
그의 뒤에 서 있던 남자가 나와 그를 번갈아 보며 물었다.
순간, 시간이 멈춰버린 줄 알았다. 늘 머릿속으로만 떠올리던 내 이상형의 남자였다. 내 머리 위로 어깨가 닿는 키에 어깨가 떡 벌어져 제법 덩치가 있었다. 옆에서 보면 통이 넓어 한 마리 곰처럼 보였다. 날씬한 몸보다 이렇게 우직하게 보이는 게 좋았다. 너무 마른 사람은 내 취향이 아니었다.
“아니, 친한 동생. 우리 옆집 살아.”
상훈이 웃으며 말하더니 내게 다가왔다.
“너도 사우나 온 거야? 준수라고 내 대학 후배야. 오준수.”
