Información sobre este eBook

The victim of a rare cosmetic condition, Lady Colin Campbell was wrongly registered and brought up as a boy in an aristocratic family in Jamaica. She enjoyed privileges, but her teenage years were blighted, leaving her unable to receive essential medical treatment until she was 21. She became a model and a designer, and in the 1970s embarked on a short and violent marriage to Lord Colin Campbell.

In this autobiography she writes of a life-long struggle to be accepted as the woman she is. She tells of her formative years in Jamaica and New York, her many love affairs, her connection with members of the Royal Family, her activities as a socialite and international charity organizer, and her current life as the fulfilled mother of two adopted Russian children.

Acerca del autor

Lady Colin Campbell has for the last four decades been a pre-eminent figure in international society and a fixture in gossip columns in the UK and the US as well as being a writer respected for her accuracy, outspokenness and fearless courage. Connected to the Royal Family through mutual ancestors and marriage, she is the author of the London Times and New York Times bestseller Diana in Private (1992) and the acclaimed posthumous The Real Diana, as well as several other successful books, some royal, others not. An attractive and articulate television presence who has retained the looks which made her a supermodel in the late 60s/ early 70s, she has over the years been a frequent contributor to all the major television channels on both sides of the Atlantic, including CNN, Fox TV, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Japanese TV, ITV and the BBC. Her list of royal scoops is second to none. It was she who first revealed that Diana had an eating disorder; a psychiatric history; would be separated, then divorced; and would lose her royal title, amongst other firsts. She is frequently credited by publications worldwide with having written the best of all the Diana biographies, of which the following People Magazine quote is typical: Some Palace watchers note that she has an impressive roster of well-placed contacts and credit her with writing the most believable Diana biography. She lives with her two sons in London and frequently visits the south of France, where the family has a chateau. She is a noted dog and cat lover whom the journalist Lynn Barber said is the greatest gossip since Pepys; and Jenny Johnson of the Daily Mail claims she is the most entertaining person alive.
