Everyone including her, thinks she and her children are a burden. No one including herself, thinks she can survive on the own. But when it comes to her children, Miranda becomes a WARRIOR and she's determined to get her children safely through The Hunt. Fanian has never missed his bounty, so when he's hired to bring back a fertile human to a client, it will be done. He was informed that humans were weak, meek and easy to catch, he soon realizes that he was misinformed! I know this story is of a serious nature but, Miranda outsmarts and downright vexes him so much that I laughed till it hurt! She's one smart and strong woman but Fanian is one determined male. When the time comes, he's grown too close and so has she to part. But his past as well as his client are on the hunt. This is a slow-burn, LOL, heck of an adventure that left this reader oh so satisfied!
