I struggled to make it to page 18. I really wanted to read the story but the writing is atrocious. The sentences are choppy and I'd be surprised if an editor reviewed this book before publication. I spent so long mentally correcting all the errors that I couldn't get into the story. It seems like this book is right up my alley though, so if someone took the time to edit it properly, I would me more than willing to give it another try.

Reads like a poorly written Sabrina the Teenage Witch fanfiction. This mess is out of focus, incoherent, no development in plot or characterization to speak of.

I truly enjoyed the author's wit in this cozy mystery. She writes an excellent story with details abounding. I like the joy found in every day things. I feel like it could be happening in some of the small towns around where I grew up. It was just great!
