About this ebook

New town…new start…same old problems

When sister witches Mag and Clara Balefire moved to the sleepy town of Harmony, Maine, to take over leadership of the coven there, they thought they’d have chance at a new life. Fate had other plans. The Balefires hardly have time to get unpacked when they stumble over a dead body.

Local authorities consider the death an open and shut case, but Mag and Clara refuse to let the ruling of accidental death stand—not when they’re positive it was murder.

As they dig deeper, secrets begin to surface and the sisters begin to suspect some of the townsfolk aren’t as innocent as they appear. When they discover the killer might be someone close to the victim, they don’t know who to trust.

As if that’s not enough, the local coven expects them to bring their cantankerous, ancient leader to heel, and she’s having none of it.

Between solving two murders and keeping a mischievous, elderly witch with power to spare from wreaking havoc, moving to a small town isn’t quite what the Balefire sisters bargained for.

If you like a fun paranormal mystery with a heaping dollop of sarcasm and wit, you'll love this humorous magical story full of chaos and intrigue.

I suppose that even as a pensioner I still have fantasy in my heart and soul, and that is why I enjoy a good paranormal story as much as the next person. This book solves 2 murders without being gory and I enjoyed the efforts of the 2 sisters in Harmony, the town. Looking forward to their next adventures

A fun paranormal crime duo! Mag and Clara Balefire moved to Harmony to join a new coven. Their antiquities and personal care shop, Balms and Bygones, is a hit with the locals but some magic meddling from the local witch-non-gratis creates complications. Then there is that woman’s body they found below the bridge. The police investigators say it was an accident but their witchy senses tell them it was a murder and they are determined to seek justice for the victim. This was a fun read and an enjoyable cozy mystery. I liked the interactions between Mag and Clara. Hagatha’s antics were hilarious and Penelope and her cohorts promise future confrontations and drama.

I love these books that these Ladies write. I have read 7 of their books and have more in my Library to read. Can't wait until new ones come out. They keep you interested in them that you want to keep reading and before you know it it's three or four in the morning. Thank you Regina and Erin for writing all these good books.

About the author

I’m ReGina Welling, author and artist from somewhere just north of the boonies in Maine. I live with my wonderful hubby, a goofy flufferpup named Dash, and a feisty cat called Cricket.

For fun, I whip up stories that’ll whisk you away to magical places or have you on the edge of your seat with a nail-biting mystery.

My mom always said I was born knowing how to read and while that might be a stretch, it feels like the ability just seeped into my pores and made itself at home. Naturally, that love of books translated into a love of writing.

I’d love to hear from you so shoot me an email! regina@reginawelling.com

I'm Erin Lynn, and I'm a fiction author from no-place-you've-ever-heard-of, Maine.

I inherited the trait of expressing myself most effectively via the written word from my mother, who is ReGina Welling, author of the "Psychic Seasons" and "Earthbound" series of novels. She's also the co-author of the "Ponderosa Pines" mysteries, the "Fate Weaver" series, the "Elder Witch" mysteries, and the "Haunted Everly After" mysteries.

I enjoy reading, drinking coffee, bird-watching, and procrastinating. My life is made complete by my two hilarious teenage sons, my adorable chocolate lab, and three mischievous kitties.
