Brittany Logue
Joyce is a brilliant writer. Though his work can be difficult to read, I believe its difficulty lies in its fullness rather than in any inherent turgidness. His words are carefully chosen, as are his images and themes. His writing not only delivers a beautiful portrait into the life of a very real looking young man, but also redefined what was considered "good" writing. Joyce was a master wordsmith and a brilliant literary hero.

Joyce's writings are a study requiring free and available annotations via the web.
With patience and a decent annotated text, even Ulysses is wonderful and exciting.

One of the worst books that I've ever read, I cannot stand stream of conciousness writing!
