the story was good. I loved how the author allowed us to get to know the characters start feeling a connection and then kills them. it's a shocked in the system. I did not like the ending. now obviously Eric made it back home but I think that leaving it like a cliffhanger left a little more of the story untold. Eric still has to make his way back and find his girlfriend. especially if the next book that's called a sequel starts 100 years later. given I haven't read them yet, but I really wonder how much they actually touch on the original story and how much is actually connected. I will know as soon as I have money to buy them hahaha but other than that these books had me gritting my teeth half the time not knowing if he killed a main character. especially when he left enough room to do such a thing

About the author

 Aaron Hodges was born in 1989 in the small town of Whakatane, New Zealand. He studied for five years at the University of Auckland, completing a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and Geography, and a Masters of Environmental Engineering. After working as an environmental consultant for two years, he grew tired of office work and decided to quit his job and see the world. During his travels he picked up an old draft of a novel he once wrote in High School – titled The Sword of Light – and began to rewrite the story. This book, Soul Blade, marks the final conclusion of that epic tale.
