The first books in the series were pretty good and this one is no different. It was well-written and had some action, suspense and drama. It was a thrilling and entertainingread. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Blake is fighting against himself - Creating his own darkness because of his fears I know how everything ends so I was able to take a step back and reassure myself when necessary but I have to admit at times I was a massive ball of doubt The inside look we get at Blakes past and how the events of his life has brought him to this point ... All I can say is hold on and keep the faith I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The impasse stage was interesting. The darkness had such a strong hold of Blake for so long that of course this stage was more than anyone had seen before or could have predicted.. It was crazy to read about the Dent process from the dragons point of view. Everything that Blake witnessed but was unable to do anything about was...intense. I can't imagine bearing witness to the atrocities that Fox put Elena and Herbert through and being unable to talk to Elena and help her understand why her dad kept moving them. Then to see the change in him when he woke up only to discover that Elena was gone. So many feelings!! It was amazing to see everything he and Emmanual went through trying to find her and after she is found, the patience he had even though he wanted so desperately to be near her. Ugh, this book was an emotional roller coaster.
