I really wanted to like this book. I loved Blake and Elena getting a second chance to grow up together. It was refreshing to see Blake care for Elena since the beginning and knew how much he needed her when he was dark. And except for Tabitha, I enjoyed the reapearances of ALL the old characters. THE reason I gave it a 3 star is because there is no closure to this book as it will leave you confused and hanging. We are introduced to old Elena lying on her deathbed while Blake's ghost comes to visit her. We are also introduced to Theo, Morgan and Silho who all play vital roles at the beginning. However, after a few chapters, all these characters get completely dropped from the story with no explanation or followup. Unless there is going to be a Moonbeam part 2 that I am unaware of, the plot was poorly constructed. I also didn't like Catherine's parenting choices. I had better expectations of her being a mom but she just kept disappointing me with no real redemption for her actions.
