I love all the books in this series that I have read. This book told the story of Alastor, the executioner of h*ll, and Ariana, a supposed human, who had a very hard life. They met during speed dating and both were attracted to each other but Alastor tried his best to stay away. They kept running into each other and their connection was too strong to deny. I love how Alastor had to be her savior multiple times and he ended up catching feelings, which was very unusual, especially for him. I also loved Cerberus, Alastor's hellhound. This was an interesting read. Alastor, the executioner of hell, goes to the speed dating event with Samuel and meets Ariana. Ariana was a drug addict who got sober. But he can't bring ruin to her life so he leaves. Events bring Alastor back into her life. Is this really a life she would want. I have to say that was quite a story. A sneak peak into sex clubs and the BDSM lifestyle. I enjoyed the story and highly recommend this read if you like the spicier side of romance. 50 shades of demon!!. He honestly cannot see how any woman would want to be the partner of the Underworld's executioner. He has accepted that he will remain alone aside from the odd interaction at the Den. That all changes in a heartbeat when he first sees Ariana. He does his best to push her away for her sake but fate is determined for him to stop being so solitary. Ari knows exactly what caused her to take a darker path than most and she is trying to fight her way back into the light. Thing is, those from her past are equally determined to hold her back. A chance meeting with a beautiful man might be her salvation. All she has to do is try to hold on to him when he keeps taking a step back. Somehow she knows once she has him, she'll never let go. She wasn't prepared for all that he'd do for her.
