About the author

Ali M. Sadegh, Ph.D., is Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Founder and Director of the Center for Advanced Engineering Design and Development, and former Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at City College of the City University of New York. He is a Fellow of both the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He is also the co-editor of the 11th Edition of Marks'.

William M. Worek, Ph.D., is Executive Director of the Eagle Ford Center for Research, Education and Outreach (EFCREO) at Texas A&M University—Kingsville. He is a Fellow of both the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
