Hot Tempers and Constant Misunderstandings I definitely had some issues with this book, but I will admit that it was compelling enough that I kept reading despite the problems. What do I consider the problems? It seemed like every viewpoint character was quick to anger after only a few words and had similar physical reactions. It would be one thing if it was just one character with this flaw, making it just a character trait for that individual, but when everybody seems to have this, it makes it seem like a weakness of the author. I thought that some word choices and phrasing were repetitive throughout the book. But my biggest problem was that the couple just seemed to continually invent problems and have issues that just weren’t there. Large and small misunderstandings seemed to happen at every turn from things said or unsaid as well as things done and not done. Both the hero and the heroine seemed to take the slightest little statement or action and blow it out of proportion. They were upset, angry, mistrusting, questioning everything, pronouncing dire results (internally) and showing or feeling all other manner of negative emotions on what seemed to be the flimsiest of evidence. It just got very tiresome. The first part of the book felt different to me than the last part. The very first section was about the couple before they married, then much of what followed was about their tempestuous relationship (see above), but the last third or so turned more into a suspense novel. I would have liked to have seen that element more strongly throughout the entire novel. While the middle section did address it somewhat, the first section really didn't talk much about what became the focal point of the last third. There is one steamy scene with several other fade-to-black ones. Surprisingly, I found the author wrote kissing scenes better than the actual full sex scene, which kind of fell flat. In the book description, the author discusses the heroine’s fey abilities as if it were core to the novel, but there is only a brief mention of that at the beginning and the end, and honestly, there didn't seem to be anything terribly fey about them! With all that I found wrong, as detailed above, I still kept reading. even though the characters felt a little 2-dimensional at times, something kept me reading… I am just not sure what! I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

An awesome read. The book starts with Sirena facing the loss of everything important in her life. There is a mystery or two in this engaging tale too. A bit of magic will even give the reader more of a treat. There are also two brothers who find out about their dead father and believe it they kind of doubt the man is dead. The characters were great and there is so much in this book. This Regency romantic suspense was an awesome read. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Seizing the moment, traversing the trials and tribulations, along with startling twists, deft corners and tricky lines, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. The characters are original and genuine with qualities and traits that blend into amazing personalities. The scenes are so colorfully descriptive to give you a full understanding and realism that blend and flows smoothly. Remarkable job Aline, thanks for shari
