Eliza lives in the quiet town of Birkbridge, Indiana, where nothing big ever seems to happen. As the curvaceous daughter of a legendary wartime correspondent, Eliza feels as though she has large shoes to fill. Sadly, her own career as a reporter at the local news station is beginning to feel dull, and her once-ambitious boss, Jim, is failing to live up to his former appeal in the industry.

With the arrival of the two handsome brothers, Hayden and Andrew, the lives of Eliza and her best friend, Melissa, are shaken to the core. Eliza finds herself drawn to the brooding, mysterious Hayden, despite her long-term relationship with Andrew. She wonders if Hayden is hiding a dark secret, perhaps related to the paranormal.

As Eliza investigates, she discovers forces more ancient and powerful than she ever imagined are at play in this sleepy Midwestern town. Werewolves, shifters, alpha rivals - no supernatural creature limits.

Eliza digs deeper into the rival charms and hidden natures of both brothers. But when she uncovers a secret society, Eliza is torn between her lover Hayden and her boyfriend Andrew. Will revealing the truth bring her closer to Hayden or destroy everything she holds dear?

Despite the fact that every scenario is way too over explained and beyond dull there is no way in anyone ever being this stupid. The characters are uninteresting, unbelievable and mostly childish. Not sure if the author wanted this to be seen from an exceptionally immature point of view but the entire thing felt like a chore to get from one chapter to the next. Gave up just before half way as I personally like to feel transported to a world where I can enjoy the story instead of being forced to endure it.
