I really loved this book, it had intriguing, adventure, and amazing characters. The romance was just right and didn’t feel forced or rushed. Can’t wait for the next book!

The Muscle follows The Mastermind in The Long Con series from Amy Lane. Take a broken ex-mercenary still reeling from the betrayal by other mercenaries that resulted in the deaths of his partner and his last employer, add a brilliant and graceful dancer with ADHD and no filter, plus a threat to the dancer’s beloved mentor and stir with a few added elements… and you have The Muscle. All the other characters from the first book are present, but this one focuses on Hunter Rutledge (the muscle) and the unexpected relationship that develops between him and Dylan “Grace” Lim (the thief). There are enough twists in the plot to satisfy a heist story aficionado – and enough romance to satisfy those looking for a good love story. I still can’t wait for the next installment!
