Paul R. Fleischman, MD, is an author, poet, lecturer, outdoorsman, and retired psychiatrist who has practiced Vipassana mediation for 40 years. He is the former chief resident at the Yale University School of Medicine and author of numerous articles and nine books, including Cultivating Inner Peace and Karma and Chaos. He lives in Amherst, Massachusetts.
