It was they that gave birth to plays and poems, drama was an integral part of their lives and they were genius at it. Ancient Greece was located in the south-eastern part of Europe. This is the same location as that of what is modern Greece. The land was surrounded by mountains and the city lay amongst these hills. Even the foundation of sciences such as biology, anthropology etc. was laid by the Grecians.
Today Greece is a country in Europe with Athens as its capital. The beautiful country is home to exotic beaches and majestic buildings that have been preserved from the ancient times.
