Harald Niederreiter's pioneering research in the field of applied algebra and number theory has led to important and substantial breakthroughs in many areas. Arne Winterhof is Senior Fellow at the Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM) at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Linz.

Chaoping Xing is Full Professor in the Department of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
