Ashwin Ranga is a writer. It is the one thing he has been successful at, well, partially. Having failed in everything, from his Engineering degree to falling in love and cracking good jokes, he is currently on the verge of successfully completing his Bachelor’s degree in Literature.
His first job was writing for a Digital Agency that had just begun to grow. As the number of articles he wrote grew for them, he was also honing the writer in him.
He then took a job at Amnesty International India, a human rights organisation where he learnt just as much about the organisation as he did about human rights. Whilst over there, he jumped at every chance to write content, be it for a campaign or for the website. However, it didn’t fill his hunger to write, so he took up a part-time content writing job at a startup where he wrote copy for everything from posters to banners and pamphlets. Over time, he was offered the position of Marketing Head. Here, he learnt the art of communicating to a larger, more targeted audience, writing advertisements and website content and grew as rapidly as the company. This is where his writing matured to become his calling.
Once he realised that, he quit the job to pursue the call. He is now following the path of a full time author, the first milestone of which is to publish his first book. It is not too far away now but no matter how much he writes, he is left with the need to write more.
