About the author

V. BALACHANDRAN (PhD, FCS) is Professor, Corporate Secretaryship, School of Management, and former Director of Distance Education, Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu. He has over 26 years of teaching experience at the postgraduate level. A Fellow Member of organizations such as the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), New Delhi, Professor Balachandran was conferred with Certificate of Achievement for Academic Performance by Alagappa University in 2006, Rashtriya Vidya Saraswathi Puraskar by the International Institute of Education and Management, New Delhi in March 2010, and Lifetime Achievement Award for Educational Excellence by Indian Economic Development and Research Association, New Delhi in August 2010. Dr. Balachandran has published many articles in reputed journals and authored/co-authored books in the taxation and company and business law areas.
