About this ebook

Project Report in the subject Engineering - Communication Technology, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, language: English, abstract: The main objectives of this lab report is to generate frequency-domain analysis of discrete-time signals and to design appropriate Infinite-Impulse Response (IIR) and Finite-Impulse Response (FIR) filters. Digital filters provide an important role in the world of communication. This lab report will discuss the steps taken to develop and design IIR and FIR filters of two filters types which are the Low-pass and the Band-pass filters. The main objective of this lab report to compare and analyze the IIR and FIR filters. At first, a background about the topic of the report would be made. Then, the theoretical concept of the filters is being discussed. After that, the procedure and the steps taken to design the filters are to be explained. Then, the results would be displayed and analyzed. A discussion about the observations and findings made are to be stated. At last, a conclusion about the achievements made and the major outcomes of the investigation are stated.

About the author

My name is Bandar Naji Ali Hezam, and I am from Yemen. Growing up, I was always interested in technology and how things worked. However, my parents did not have any background in engineering, so it was up to me to explore this interest on my own. After completing my secondary education in Yemen, I decided to pursue a degree in mechatronics engineering at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation. I was attracted to this field because it combines mechanical, electronic, and computer engineering, and I knew that it would provide me with a solid foundation in a wide range of technical skills. Studying at Asia Pacific University was an enriching experience. I met people from all over the world, and I was exposed to new ideas and ways of thinking. The program was challenging, but I enjoyed every moment of it. I learned about the principles of mechanics, electronics, and computing, and how they all come together to create complex systems. After graduating with my degree, I decided to pursue a Master's degree in Business Administration at University of Cyberjaya. I wanted to expand my knowledge beyond the technical aspects of engineering and learn more about business and management. The program was rigorous, but it gave me a deep understanding of finance, marketing, organizational behavior, and other important business topics. With my education and skills, I started my career as a mechatronics engineer. I have worked for several companies over the years, designing and developing complex systems for a variety of industries. I have always been passionate about my work, and I have enjoyed every project that I have worked on. In my free time, I like to read books and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in technology and engineering. I also like to travel and experience new cultures and ways of life. Looking back on my life so far, I am proud of what I have accomplished. As someone who did not have any background in engineering in my family, I am particularly proud of my achievements. I hope to continue to learn and grow as an engineer and as a person, and to make a positive impact in the world.
