About this ebook

"Barbara Freethy delivers riveting, plot-twisting suspense and a deeply emotional story. Every book is a thrilling ride." USA Today Bestselling Author Rachel Grant

Ten years ago, I was seventeen, spending summers with my wealthy family and friends on Hawk Island. One terrible night, I blacked out. The next morning, my best friend, Melanie, was gone—vanished without a trace.

Today, I go back. To the island. To my sister's wedding. To a group of privileged people with whom I've never belonged. To my best friend's brother, a man who hates us all. To secrets that someone will kill to keep.

A storm is coming. A storm that will cut off the island from all hope of help. A storm that could allow a kidnapper to escape or a killer to murder again. A storm that will wash away all the lies and deception and reveal the true faces of All the Pretty People.

Will I be the next one to disappear?

Barbara Freethy has done it again; I absolutely loved All the Pretty People and thoroughly enjoyed reading All the Pretty People. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Who does not love a romantic thriller with a surprise ending? Once again Barbara Freethy has shown that she is a master storyteller and definitely did not disappoint her readers. I love how she developed the story line and the characters. I could not put it down and loved every moment on every page of this incredible page turner. I love the second chance love story, the setting, and the amazing characters! Barbara Freethy has once again delivered an amazing story filled with everything that I have come to love about her books. She has once again provided her readers with the amazing characters, that I have come to love and expect in her books, they feel like family! I love how Barbara develops her characters in such a way that you fall in love with them and care about them much like a good friend. Barbara Freethy continues to deliver all that and so much more. I love that she wrote All the Pretty People in the first person from the perspective of the main character, Willow Kent. I loved getting inside her mind and knowing her thoughts and how she really feels. My favorite moments in All the Pretty People are the lighter moments where I found myself smiling and laughing out loud. I also love the parts that pull at my heartstrings and cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. All the Pretty People is the story of Willow Kent who returns to Hawk Island for the wedding of her younger sister, Kelsey. The Kents would spend their summers on Hawk Island, with several other families. Willow has not been to Hawk Island since the disappearance of her best friend Melanie Maddox, who lived on Hawk Island with her family, ten years prior. Willow has no memory of what she did the day that Melanie disappeared. Melanie’s brother, Drake believed that Willow knew what happened to Melanie. A couple days after arriving on Hawk Island, Kelsey disappears, and no one knows where she is or what happened to her. As Willow and Drake work together to find Kelsey and try to figure out what happened to Melanie things change between them. Then an unexpected plot twist that changes things between. All the Pretty People was an incredible romantic thriller and had me guessing who was behind Melanie Maddox’s disappearance ten years ago. I never saw the villain until it was revealed in the story. It truly took me by surprise. I love how Willow was able to find Kelsey and determine who was behind Melanie’s disappearance, what really happened to her and how the truth was divulged, putting her life in danger. I enjoyed that Willow was able to move on from those events from ten years ago, especially after her memories from that night return. I love how Willow changed during the story from, being someone who used to be the shy, boring girl who stayed in the shadows, someone no one noticed into a strong confident woman. One of my favorite parts of the story are the pages of Melanie’s diary and all that she reveals. My favorite part is the ending, and how it is a perfect ending. It was an incredible romantic thriller. Looking for a great romantic thriller, then I highly recommend All the Pretty People.

Another amazing story by Barbara Freethy! All The Pretty People is the perfect title for this suspense. It's a story about a group of elites that vacation on Hawk Island every year and strike up friendships with some of the locals. After a tragedy strikes 10 years earlier and one of the locals goes missing, things are never the same. Willow was best friends with Melanie who vanished from the island and has never been found. Willow hasn't been back to the island since, but her younger sister is getting married so now she's back and can't shake the feeling that things may not go well. The first person Willow sees as she gets off the ferry is Drake, Melanie's older brother and her childhood crush. Drake has always blamed their group of friends and family for what happened and is convinced one of them holds the answers to his sister's disappearance. When tragedy strikes, will Drake and Willow be able to work together to figure things out before it's too late. There were so many twists and turns throughout this book that I just couldn't figure out whodunnit! Every time I thought I might have some idea, another shocking surprise would come out and I'd be right back to guessing again! Let me just say, I NEVER saw that ending coming!!!

Hawk Island, enduring bad memories, for her sister’s wedding A best friend the innocence lost that day, when everything changed Drake, why was he on the island, the accusations he said that day Now her sister invited him to the wedding, to Gage, one he accused Another. mishap for the coming wedding, why didn’t they wait People remember Willow, a camera in hand, to get that perfect shot Reacquainting with kids we were close to before that night’s happening Found the story slow moving, filling in with the people then and lives now The emotion was evident that thoughts were still present now as was the questions. The family drama with their mother and the three sisters was well done. A good stand alone story, well written and enjoyed Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
