I loved this story from beginning to end! This is my first Paula Dombrowiak and it won't be my last. Lake is a career-driven single mom to a daughter on the verge of high school graduation. At her best friend's urging she decides to do something she hasn't done for a while and let her hair down, only she lets loose much more than she'd planned. She throws caution to the wind when the captivating musician playing at the bar goes after her and lets his interest in her be known. He's a younger man and cannot fight his instant reaction to her. They exchange no info, not even a first name, and she leaves his apartment ready to put the experience behind her as a wild moment, albeit one she will never forget. But things get complicated when they meet again and become aware of who one another is. What follows is a fantastic love story full of complications- some self-imposed, others impossible to ignore and unavoidable. I don't often read reverse age gaps, but this is one I really enjoyed!

Lake's 43 Birthday having dinner with her BFF, who convinces her to go to their old hang out bar&have a drink, on the way there her BFF gets called into work with an emergency. Lake decides to go. She locks eyes with the singer. Attraction and major chemistry on both end. Never sharing names they share one hot night. Lake’s sister is getting remarried and she is in the wedding when she shows up for the rehearsal dinner she never guesses who will also be there. I hate to say too much it will be better if you read it on your own.I will say is Lake is scared to pursue a relationship for many reasons, even with the hot sex. She is afraid of being screwed over by a man so she keeps her heart on lock down. I have said enough, you are just going to have to grab this book and dig into it all yourself. It will probably be one of the best choices you have made because there is just something about Paula's writing that takes you in, grabs at you and takes you through quite the emotional ride.

Lake a powerhouse business woman, strong, and single mom. One night she lets go and has a steamy no name night with Adrian. Not expecting to see him again. This reverse age gap, musician romance was a good read. I loved the relationship Adrian developed with Noelle, Lake's daughter. That ending was awesome.
