Another wonderful short, intriguing novella about a young female nurse (Cheryl) who adopts her half-shifter nephew (Jacob) after the death of her sister but now has discovered the bear shifter clan wants the child. Well she has a few choice words to say about that. I found the story-line and plot quite entertaining & well-written with interesting characters. There is: bear shifters, a feisty human female (Cheryl), a determined bear shifter (Lance), drama, some humor, verbal confrontation, compromises, attractions, verbal banter, some steam, happiness & contentment. I really enjoyed read this short novella & would recommend it.

Bears, mates, and babies in the Show Me state in this 7th Shifter Babies story. Cheryl finds herself raising her late sister's half-shifter baby and everything isn't quite what she was led to believe. Bear shifter, Lance, sets the record straight, and of course, there's an instant attraction between these two. Like the rest of the series, the story is fast-paced and easily read in less than an hour, making it great for an afternoon break or bedtime read.

I enjoy reading these short American Shifter Baby stories. This is the seventh and each book has a good storyline. The interaction and chemistry between Cheryl and Lance is great. I can't wait for the next book. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
