For many years I have managed to keep myself busy and a fairly active lifestyle. Having served four years in the air force, I went to work for a bank, but I soon found out that they don’t stop work at 3:00 p.m. I did a short stint working at republic aviation. Having done that for a couple of years and working in a gas station on the night shift for a couple more, it dawned on me that I was going nowhere fast. While working the night shift, I became friendly with one of the precinct police officers, and he convinced me that police work was the way to go. But first another opportunity presented itself, and I became a stagehand at the New York State Theatre. Having done that for some time, I finally decided it was time to get married and settle down. Yes, I quit the theatre and became a police officer in Westchester County, New York. After becoming the father of four and being a sergeant, I finally decided to retire. Having nothing to do, I tried artwork. A friend once told me to get off my ass and do something positive. This is my third book in as many years, and I found my pleasure—and here I am. My wife was the driving force, and without her push, I would never have gotten past the first book. Thank you, Julia, with all my love.
