About the author

Boris Iglewicz serves as professor of statistics at Temple University, and has more than 25 years of teaching, research, and consulting experience. He received his Ph.D. in statistics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Iglewicz is a Senior Member of ASQC, a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute.

David C. Hoaglin is research associate in statistics at Harvard University and senior scientist at Abt Associates, Inc. He received his doctorate in statistics from Princeton University. His experience includes more than 20 years in teaching and statistical research. He is a Fellow Member of the American Statistical Association and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute.
