In the global world of today there is great interdependency. No country, no institution, no company can do it alone. And we cannot ignore the international context. On top of that, no innovation comes on its own.
The active engagement and quality of the leading figures who are interviewed is one of the distinguishing features of this project. These remarkable individuals were generous with their time and thought hard to reflect on their experiences.
In these studies and interviews, leaders, entrepreneurs and scholars in The Owls Foundation's network describe and analyse innovations in business, philanthropy, diplomacy, economics, investing, geopolitics, media, agriculture, logistics, technology and healthcare.
Henk van den Breemen, Chairman of The Owls Foundation is holds several advisory and board memberships with large and small institutions, specialising in development strategies for innovation and their implementation. He is a retired General and former Chief of Defence of the Netherlands, who carried out a far-reaching modernisation and professionalisation of the Dutch armed forces after the fall of the Berlin wall. He organised and co-authored Towards a Grand Strategy for an Uncertain World (2008).
