5 star Review Dirty Defiance (Filthy Politics #3) by Chelle Bliss and Brenda Rothert This was a fantastic and intriguing read although I do admit that politics is not my favourite topic to read about. I loved it from the first to the last page and was disappointed when it ended. This was an intriguing read from the first to the last page and I was disappointed when it ended. Dirty Defiance was well written and I have no idea where one author ended and the other took over. Ms. Bliss and Ms. Rothert blended their writing together in such a way that the continuity was flawless. Where do I start? This is the third collaboration between these two authors and I loved this story. Dirty Defiance has it all, intrigue, mystery, danger, smoking hot scenes and romance. When I read the first book I had hopes that there might be a follow up book and now here it is. Jude and Reagan have been married for 4 years and Jude is running for Governor. As is to be expected when running for political office, unseen forces try to drive them apart and cause trouble. Can their marriage survive or will it buckle to the pressure? They love each other and he is just as dominant in the bedroom as he has always been but outside influences are putting a strain on their marriage. Jude and Reagan are two characters that are a joy to read about; their love for one another is intense and passionate. I love how strong and feisty Reagan is and yet she is still vulnerable and Jude is totally dreamy. Dirty Defiance can easily be read as a stand alone, but I would do yourselves a favour if you haven’t read the previous books and once click them too as I do believe it will add to your enjoyment of reading Dirty Defiance.

This is the 3rd book and final book in the Series. Republican Senator Jude Tritan is running for Governor of Illinois. Hi wife Reagan is a conservative and supports his run for office, or does she. You get a glimpse of the life of politician on the campaign trail. However, I think there could have been more. Was there a lot of sex. Yes! Jude and Reagan had issues, and it seemed that the only way they knew how to communicate was to have sex. I liked the book, but would have enjoyed it more if it had more substance. It started with a steamy sex scene and it got to the point that I skimmed those parts of the book. I wanted them to be able to communicate like adults, to talk thru their issues. Don't get me wrong, I love a good sex scene. However, there needs to be more for me to truly love a book. I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book for an honest review.

You know how when you get to the last book in a series you want to take you time, savor it, enjoy each and every interaction between your favorite characters and make it last as long as possible? You can't do that with this one! I flew through it, it was well paced keeping me turning pages waiting to see what would happen next. The heat is off the charts, but what do you expect with these two characters and these two authors working together? Dirty Defiance was everything I hoped it would be, I was engrossed by the end of chapter one and read it in one day. I'm sad to see the characters go but the way it ended was just right!
