Troy works in the grain windmill that belongs to his uncle and at the same time he is also a volunteer firefighter. Penny works as a journalist for the local newspaper. All she wants is to get away from Franklin but because of her mother’s illness, she can’t. There are a lot of things going on in Troy’s mind. He is a quiet person, what makes him a good listener. The book is well-written and the characters are well-developed. The scene during the rescue from the fire is fantastic and very emotional. You can feel the hot air and the flames kissing you. You can feel the anguish and the pain of the characters. I would say a lot more things, but that would reveal too much information and it is better you find that for yourself. An author who grows with every new book and I recommend reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
