4.5 Stars for Sexy Dare Book 1 in The Sexy Series. This is book 1 in a new series but it could be considered a spin off from the Dare Series, that being said you do not have to have read and any previous books to enjoy Jason Dare’s story. Jason Dare is part owner of the successful Club Ten29 nightclub with his best friends Tanner Grayson and Landon Bennett and life is looking good, he has no plans to settle down and he is not looking for a relationship until he came across Faith Lancaster. Faith runs her own candy shop and when she leaves work one night to find her van has a flat tyre snd she is grateful to the hot swoon worthy man who stops to help her out, enter Jason Dare...... Faith is trying to stay under everyone’s radar and she is in hiding from her drug addicted brother so the last thing on her mind is a relationship but when Jason explains he is not the setting down type of guy she decides why not have some no strings attached fun with the man who has come to her rescue on more than one occasion..... Two people looking to have some no strings attached fun certainly not looking for love end up finding true love as they get to know each whilst having some fun under the sheets. Sizzling chemistry and some natural banter make this a great read, it ticked all my boxes and I can’t wait for book 2 which I’m assuming will be either Tanner or Landon’s story.

Sexy Dare is fast-paced with a heavy dose of smexy, a quick read with lots of chemistry and little angst between the main characters. Sexy Dare gives us insight into Jason Dare connected to Carly’s Dare to Love series; so for those familiar with the series they are able to understand the family dynamics a little clearer than those who are new to the series. However, Carly does a terrific job of recapping the pertinent details within Sexy Dare. I mention family dynamics because they play are a large part in understanding both Jason and Faith especially their views on relationships and how their actions are defined as a result. Faith and Jason meet when he plays good samaritan to help her with a flat tyre not expecting an immediate connection to Faith as well as a heavy dose of chemistry. Unable to ignore his protective instincts, Jason becomes Faith’s guardian during a time when her past catches up with her; caused by her personal family situation. Allowing them to act on their chemistry for the duration of the protection while keeping their barriers in place. However, they are unable to avoid the emotional entanglement created by their instinctive connection. With feelings building between Faith and Jason further revelations occur revealing the depth of Jason’s emotional scars. The trauma and tragedy of his past preventing him from creating a clear path to happiness. Overcoming the negative events in our past is one of the hardest battles anyone has to face, although sometimes, someone comes along to help clear the way and bring a brighter future along with them. This is exactly the type of effect Jason and Faith have on each other ❤

***4.5 Stars*** I totally devoured this baby. I couldn’t (*cough* wouldn’t) put it down. Jason and Faith were all kinds of fun, sweet, swoon worthy and smexy and I NEEDED to see them get their HEA (Yes, I know the book wasn’t going anywhere, but once I’m in. I’m ALL. IN.) and was quite happy with how things worked out! I adored Jason and Faith, Faith a tinsy bit more, but the difference is minor in the big scheme of things. Faith is strong, determined and simply a sweetheart. She doesn’t back down easily and yet she isn’t one to turn down help just to soothe her pride. Jason is complex. He loves hard and will do anything for those he calls his own, but works very hard at keeping everyone at arm’s length to protect his bruised heart. Faith and Jase’s journey to their HEA was a lot of fun, regardless of all that was going on around them. The chemistry between them was there from the start and only grew the more they were around each other. I loved their bantering, the smexy was HAWT and I really enjoyed how they opened up to each other about their pasts, wants and needs. There were a few bumps in the road for them, but I liked how they were handled and how everything worked out in the end. Sexy Dare was a fun read, even as it touched on some pretty heavy topics ~ which were all handled very well. The writing was engaging, the pacing was good and I loved the dual first person POV’s. I also loved seeing the various Dare family members pop in and out of the story as well as an interesting little nugget that was dropped on an ongoing secondary story. But I cannot wait for the next two books in this series. Landon and Tanner definitely have my attention and I’m totally looking forward to watching these two fall! ~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~
