About this ebook

Connor Prescott doesn't do one night stands (yes, ladies, he's an anomaly) so when he meets a beautiful woman during a snowed in night at the airport who wants to forget her heartache, he makes an exception. Their night together is incendiary, and by morning Connor wants more . . . except his sexy stranger is gone.  He's pretty sure he'll never see her again, until three and a half years later she finds him, and changes his entire world with three little words . . . You're a daddy.

I've really loved each of the books in the Book Boyfriend series from Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. I'll admit Connor had intrigued me since the very first book, so I was glad we were finally getting his story. I have to say up front, I don't usually love the one-night stand story if I can't see where it could lead. However, since both Connor and Katie were heading to Chicago from Denver, I felt like they could reconnect at some point...though I didn't expect it to take over 3 year. Since Katie and Connor never shared last names or contact information, I loved that as soon as she realized his name and how to reach him, she met up immediately to tell him about their daughter, Valentine. I loved that Connor and Katie's chemistry was pretty evident from the moment they saw each other again, and their attraction to one another was even stronger. Seriously I loved these two characters together and the fact that neither one had forgotten the other. While they had many smoking hot love scenes, I love they both wanted to make sure Val was always protected in case they didn't work out as a couple. I worried about Connor's reaction to discovering he was a father, and have to say I think I fell in love with him a bit more for not only being completely understanding about Katie not being able to tell him at first, but slowly working his way into his daughter's life. Too many times I've read books where they just tell the child this is your daddy with no time spent together first. I liked that Connor and Katie established him into Val's life before telling her he was her daddy. I loved watching Connor fall in love with his daughter right along with her mother. There is just something about a big, strong, sexy man and a toddler that makes me swoon a little bit. Rock Solid was a wonderful addition to the Book Boyfriend series from Ms. Phillips and Ms. Wilde. I once again was completely drawn into the story and pretty much read it in one sitting. I highly recommend Rock Solid to anyone who enjoys contemporary romances. This is the 4th book in the Book Boyfriend series and we finally get Connor Prescott's story. Out of all the four guys, Connor was the one who was looking for love, babies and the white picket fence...problem was he never met the girl that he'd want all that with. Connor doesn't believe in one night stands, but after getting stranded in Denver because of a snowstorm, his life is about to change. Something about the mysterious woman is pulling him towards her and quickly things begin to ignite. After a fun dinner in the airport, and realizing that Katie doesn't have anywhere to sleep because all of the hotels are booked, he offers her the second room in his suite to which she reluctantly accepts. Connor learns that Katie had her heart broken while in Denver and wants to just make her happier. Katie decides she wants Connor instead. Pleading with him they agree to one night, but no sharing last names or even any personal information. Connor wakes up the next morning wanting to continue things with Kate back in Chicago but finds out she has left. Imagine his surprise 3 1/2 years later when Katie shows up at his office explaining that he's a dad to 3 year old Leah and she finally found out who he was because she saw his picture on the cover of Chicago Magazine. Considering Connor has never forgotten Katie, he takes this a great sign....the family he always has wanted. Katie is just not sure of the situation. All the men in her past have always proven to be jerks and Katie is not sure that she wants to drag Leah through anything. Over the course of time Connor and Katie spend more time together, along with Leah. Problem is is that Katie is not ready to fully commit and Connor is getting tired of waiting. It took a long time for Connor and Katie to find their happy ending but it was so worth it! I really loved Connor...such a great, perfect guy. It was understandable how Katie was being based on her past, but at times I wanted to kick her in the butt and say guys like this don't come around that often! Then there is Leah...she was such a fun, cute little girl! Overall, this book was a great ending to this series and I'm sad it's over. I sure hope Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde are putting out another series together!

**Received ARC for a fair and honest review** Rock Solid is the 4th and final book in the Book Boyfriend series. This book can be read as a standalone. I rate this book at 5 stars. I loved this book and had a very difficult time putting it down when life required it! From the beginning to the end, the book kept me extremely intrigued. It's also a very fast, easy, fun, sexy read. Connor is in Denver on a business trip, getting ready to go home to Chicago when his flight gets cancelled due to weather and he can't fly out until the next day. Katie went to Denver to surprise her boyfriend and things didn't go so well. When she gets to the airport only to find that her flight has been cancelled and she can't fly back to Chicago until the next day, it's like the icing on cake of her day that just won't stop getting worse. When he goes to get a burger while waiting, the only seat he's interested in is with the blonde that he would like to talk to. From there, well... can't give it away for you.... I really enjoyed the characters, especially Connor. Katie at times I had a hard time identifying with, but I still really enjoyed her. It was very refreshing to see a male character that isn't a manwhore/player that became enamored and changed his ways. The only gripe I could possibly come up with was I would have loved to see how Connor proposed to Katie. I was so happy to see at the ending that they gave you a sense of closure to the story, that it wasn't one of those where the couple barely gets together and then the book ends. Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!
