An absolutely fabulous experience! With the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, I could not have a more serendipitous discovery than this. I was riveted to discover such an intimate look into an ancient, if unknown to me, culture. I drank up comments on the history and traditions, googling pictures and YouTubing dance performances. The characters absolutely dominate the story, dancing across the pages, and in my heart. So vividly portrayed I felt as if I was eavesdropping on the conversations, peeking around the corners on the actions. While many romances seem to strain to satisfy some of the genre requirements, these were so interlocked with the natural story arc I almost missed noting them. I cannot remember being so taken by an author or a work since my first Du Maurer romance. I cannot praise this book enough. DO NOT MISS THIS!!!

About the author

Carollyne Lairie lives close to the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada. She's lived in and traveled to many places, allowing her to bring texture, meaning, and variety to her stories.

After graduating with a BSc Hons Psychology, she remained a lifelong learner in a myriad of subjects.

She's worked in social service agencies & other occupations.

She's mentored under writing greats like John Truby, David Farland, Hal Croasmun, & others - to improve her craft over decades of study and feedback.

An avid fruit and vegetable gardener, she's taught gardening classes and founded a Facebook group for local gardeners with thousands of members.

Since 1998, Carollyne has run an all-volunteer charity for the poor in western Ukraine where they've provided food, shelter, clothing, and medical needs; built wells and installed running water.

Carollyne is the mother of four and a grandma to thirteen who live scattered across the States and Canada.
