I loved the Brooke character. She was spot on in everything she did, said or felt. the Leif character didn't quite come alive and seemed a bit weak and undeveloped. Luke was 6 going on 60 and adorable. The HEA was there technically and Sierra's present was just right but the HEA just seemed a little unfinished. All told though, I love the Montgomery's and enjoyed this latest story.

The start of a new series with the new generation of Montgomery's & makes an excellent place to start if you're new to the Montgomery world. There's great interaction between the main characters - Leif, Brooke & her son Luke, & there's enough drama in both Leif & Brooke's lives to stop this story from being too saccharine. While a family tree would have helped make sense of all of the Montgomery's, this is a very enjoyable read.

I really liked both Leif and Brooke; he knew who he wanted and was determined to win her back. Brooke is such a loving mother, determined and focused and one I admired.. There were moments where I swooned, moments that brought me to tears and moments that had me smiling. All in all an entertaining well written story and I CNN wait to read more in this latest series.
