About the author

Prof. Dr. Ivanka Netinger Grubeša has 15 years of research experience in the field of building materials and 9 years of research experience on the application of waste materials (slag) in concrete. Since 2001 to present, she has been employed at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Osijek, Croatia.

Dr Ivana Barisic works at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Osijeck. She has scientific and practical experience in the field of investigating steel slag usage as a construction material in civil and structural engineering (as an aggregate in concrete with improved fire resistance and as an aggregate in pavement base layers).

Dr. Aleksandra Fucic has 30 years of experience working on the biomonitoring of populations exposed to radiation or chemical agents with a special interest in achieving a healthy living environment and investigation of health risks related to new construction materials.
