We meet Lia Dove and Leo Hawk in the first book in this series Broken Sparrow and I was excited when I heard they were getting their own story. That being said I do believe you could read Broken Dove as a stand-alone although I’m sure once you meet Lia and Leo you will want more from the other characters in their journey. A friends to lovers, emotional journey that has all the feels so this book will appeal to all romance lovers. Lia and Leo are roommates but they are also friends and they will do what ever is needed to protect each other so will Leo be able to protect Lia when his past comes back to haunt him and how will Lia’s father, Tiny the MC President react to the bond this couple share. All Leo ever wanted was a family so has he risked it all by crossing the line…… This is a beautifully written, entertaining yet emotional love story, it has wonderful characters and it’s the perfect addition to the Open Road Series. Ms Bliss has once again given us a wonderful read that will stay with me long after reading the final words.

I knew the characters of Leo & Lia (Broken Sparrow) had potential, which is borne out in this compelling & unexpectedly intense tale. Their roommates-with-benefits relationship is enough to make this an interesting story but add in what happens when Leo’s brother is brought back into their lives, & you’ve got a twist that adds enough drama & conflict to make this a captivating read. It’s a fast-paced, emotional journey that I guarantee will keep you thoroughly involved from start to finish.

Great story. Lia is the MC president’s long lost daughter and she’s finally found a home but she’s living with one of the prospects to the club and even though they are great together, her father would have a fit if he knew they were more than roommates. But when Leo’s past comes back to haunt him, they’ll have to work together. I really liked Lia and Leo together. They were good to and for each other but there were a few times when I wanted to slap Leo for giving up too easy. I understand he had so very much to lose and he’d lost enough already, but there was a part where I wanted to jump into the book and give him a shake. Fortunately that didn’t last too long and together they found a way through the mess of Leo’s past. Great story.
