I'm sorry, I enjoyed the other books in this series, but this one seems disconnected and I'm having a hard time remembering where we left off seeing how there was a whole other book in-between... there's no real review/flashback of how things were left off to help jog my memory as to where the story is ....I can't even remember what Remy did and why they are helping him.... at least I think that what they are doing, I DON'T KNOW.... the last book is very fresh in my mind (reading about how the MC gets her memories back) and I'm completely confused now. Plus there seems to be a lot of useless chit chat among the characters rather than an actual story... I can't get past chapter 8 and I've been trying for months now.... for reference, it only took a few days to finish the other books..... boring and disconnected.

I love this series, but I wish this book had been written like Charm with Hudsons point of view. There were a few plot points I would like to have more clarity on without Grace's drawn out monologs. Although as someone who also suffers from anxiety and panic attacks, the monologs help transfer some of my energy and calm me.

A nice ending to one of my favorite series ☺️ Can't wait for Remy to start off The Calder Academy Series with his book Sweet Vengeance ✨
