About this ebook

In this cowboy romance, a therapist’s fears are stronger than a rancher’s determination to win her heart.

Miranda Hawthorne opens her horse therapy business in the small town of King Creek, Arizona, after leaving her past behind. When working with children and adults with disabilities, she encourages their progress while unconsciously blocking her own recovery. With each passing day, she thickens the wall around her battered heart.

After a stallion throws Justin McLeod’s daughter, he turns to a horse therapist to help her work up the courage to ride again. When Justin meets the beautiful Miranda, he’s intrigued and wants to get to know her better despite the challenges he’ll face as a single father.

Justin soon learns stallions are easier to break than Miranda’s barriers, especially when she avoids spending time with him.

Miranda Hawthorne is new in the town of King Creek .. a horse therapist who works with kids and those with disabilities. Because of an abusive husband, she had had enough, filed for divorce and fled to where she resides now. One of her new clients is a 12-year-old girl, Kaycee, who used to love riding horses. She got thrown and broke her collarbone. Since then, she doesn't want anything to do with horses. Her father sets her up to see Miranda, to see if she can help her daughter get over her fear. When Miranda meets the girl's father, Justin McLeod, she is instantly attracted. Still waiting for her divorce papers, she is determined to keep her distance. She's still trying to get over her last relationship ..she's not near ready to start a new one. But Justin is just as determined to get through her barriers and show her how much she means to him. The fly in the ointment ... he doesn't know that she is still married. This is a well written sizzling contemporary romance with extremely likeable characters. There is a little suspense surrounding Miranda's still-husband, otherwise a steamy romantic romp. The intimate interludes sizzle like an Arizona summer .... which is where this story is situated. It's a short read ... great for a lazy afternoon of reading. Many thanks to the author for the digital copy of this Western Romance. loved everything about this book, nice and easy just like a slow burn where you know in the end you're going to be on fire. Those McLeod brothers sounds like they most definitely know their way around a woman. H. O. T.!!
