About the author

Dr. Shek Kam Chuen is an Associate Consultant at the Accident and Emergency Department of Tuen Mun Hospital in Hong Kong, having worked in emergency medicine for more than ten years. Dr. Shek is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the Hong Kong College of Emergency Medicine and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. As an emergency physician, he has a special interest in infectious diseases.
