About the author

Shawn Martin was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

As a child, he did what any normal child would do. He had many things he wanted to do when he grew up, become a doctor, firefighter, police officer, or even a professional wrestler. However, in 1999 after seeing "The Faculty" directed by Robert Rodriguez when he was 11, he knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to make movies.

Though Rodriguez is the director that first gave him inspiration to be a filmmaker, he is also a huge fan of Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Kevin Smith, Eli Roth, Darren Lynn Bousman and many other modern day filmmakers.

He has released several short films including "Chest Pain," "Retaliate," "Small Town Kevin," as well as the two "Drip" films and "The Bench," and "Deep Fried"

Though film is his passion, he has also been writing short stories that he also plans to either adapt to screenplays or books, or possibly even both.
