About this eBook

A swoon-worthy romance from USA Today Bestselling Author J.H. Croix!

A broody ex-military pilot and a sassy yoga teacher collide in a small town.

Diego is distracting. He shows up in my yoga class with his smokin’ hot bod and enough brawn to set the world on fire. Cue the melting.

He oozes the rugged hero vibe, rides a motorcycle and flies planes in the wilds of Alaska. He’s all man and then some.

I came to this small town for a fresh start, and I don’t need to be rescued. Except maybe if Diego’s the one doing the rescuing, I wouldn’t mind at all.

I’ve got it all under control until he kisses me. I’m not just melting, I’m aflame, and my heart’s in free fall. There’s only one man I want to catch me.

Keywords: Diego & Gemma’s story is perfect for readers who love small town shenanigans, military heroes, sassy heroines, friends to lovers, slow burn, emotional romance with a dash of angst, plenty of steam and swoon, and a grumpy hero with a serious protective streak.

*A full-length, standalone romance.

I'm happy to be back in Diamond Creek. I get to revisit some of my favorite characters along with getting to know Gemma and Diego better. Gemma and Diego are cute together. They had me gobbling up the pages. Gemma is one character that captured my heart. Her whole future changed because one traumatic event. It made me happy to see justice served and for Gemma to face her past. Diego is yummy and great book boyfriend material. The chemistry between him and Gemma burns up the pages. I love this small town setting in Alaska. It makes me want to go visit if I wasn't afraid to fly that is. I really like how close knit the community is, but especially this group of friends. This is a great book I would recommend because the characters are going to suck you right into their journey.

Diego is a grumpy ex-military pilot who has been living in Alaska for the past 5 years and is struggling with his haunting past. Gemma is the new sassy yoga teacher in town who is also struggling with her past. When Diego shows up to Gemma's yoga class it is an instant attraction between the two of them but due to their pasts, they both decide to take it one day at a time. When Gemma's past starts to come back to really haunt her, things get a little rocky when she has to explain. ⁣ Diego and Gemma's story is a great build from friendship to lovers and once they can no longer fight their attraction things get very good. They both balanced each other well. The book does touch on some heavier issues. The side characters did a great job of helping bring the large family vibe with their banter. I was happy when they both finally came clean about their pasts and were able to move forward to their HEA.

Gemma being a yoga instructor and her past high school abuse, the balance composer she maintained is so cool. Diego the family guy is excellent maintained in story. Everyone in story is portrait beautifully. It makes you wish to such family and friends around you. In the end the story went so fast though.
