4.5 Stars for Only Ever Us ( Light My Fire #3) This is the third book in the Light My Fire Series but it can certainly read and enjoyed as a stand-alone. Mae and Rowan’s story starts off in their University years and we follow them through some traumatic times before Mae moves on from all her university friends and that includes leaving Rowan. Fast forward seven years and Rowan is starting a new job in Willow Brook, Alaska which happens to be Mae’s home town. Hoping to put the past behind them and reconnect with Mae because he still holds a flame for the girl who was once his best friend but will she be willing to give them a second chance. You are going to need to read Only Ever Us to find that out. This hook will keep you n the edge of your seat, it’s fills twists and turns, love and heartbreak abd some very dark, gritty times. I love my visits to Alaska and I’m loving all the couples from this entertaining yet emotional series.

This is book three in The Light My Fire Series and it is Rowan and Mae's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Mad was at the church sorting out her grandmother's funeral and in her grief and thinking about memories of her grandmother she didn't realise that the room was on fire and there was no escape a her only exit was blocked by the fire and she didn't know how to get out of there when suddenly the door crashed open and in came the one man that she had avoided and didn't want to see again as it brought back painful memories was the one to pick her up and rescue her. Rowan is a firefighter and he has moved to Mae's hometown and when he got to rescue her from a fire he was hoping that this was his chance to find out what happened when they were in college as they started out as friend's and then more but then Mae suddenly stopped talking to him and to this day he doesn't know what happened but hopefully this is his chance to find out and hopefully get a second chance with her. When Rowan and Mae eventually connect again and he finds out what happened I felt so many emotions and felt like I was there going through everything with her and upset that these things are still happening and justice is not being served. The chemistry between Rowan and Mae was so strong and intense and they were so perfect together that you find yourself hoping that they both get the happy ending that they both deserve. This story pulled you in right from the start and kept your attention right throughout the book and I couldn't put it down as it was so addictive. I H Croix is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed. This swoon worthy read has secrets, a traumatic event, love, forgiveness, understanding and so much more. Rowan and Mae went to college together in North Carolina. They became best friends but developed feelings for each other. They went on a few dates but then something happened to Mae which caused her to cut Rowan out of her life. Mae is back in her hometown in Alaska because her grandmother got sick and died. Their story was fantastic and had me devouring the pages. I truly enjoyed this book and loved the HEA ending. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
