It explains the basic theory of operation and applications. The main objective is to provide the students with a clear understanding of the principles of communication engineering, aided by several diagrams and solved numerical problems.

M.N. Bandyopadhyay, Ph.D. (Jadavpur University), is Director, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut. Earlier he was Director of NIT Kurukshetra. He has taught at Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani and NIT Hamirpur. Dr. Bandyopadhyay has 40 years of teaching and industrial experience. His areas of interest include digital signal processing and control engineering.
