Acerca del autor

She is degree in Telecommunications Engineering and Ph.D. cum laude in Multimedia Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (BarcelonaTech), achieved in 1991 and 2007, respectively. She is professor at Graphic and Design Engineering Department, Barcelona East School of Engineering (EEBE). She is currently coordinator and senior researcher at BCN-SEER Group in Barcelona (Spain), where she forms part from “Social Aspects of Engineering Education” research area, including Gender and ICT research program. Principles have guided her research development are: promoting STEM vocation in young people, especially among girls; Primary and Secondary school teachers’ education; promoting computational thinking at pre-university levels; and social justice, equity, diversity and transparency (with gender perspective, needs for vulnerable people, strategies against corruption, etc.). Her research’s interests are innovation in higher education, professional competencies, assessment tools, promotion and teaching and learning improvement and, in general, educational innovation that contributes teaching with quality.

He is architect from Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB) and PhD cum laude in Multimedia Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). He is postgraduated in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) University Teaching (UPC). Since 1995 he has been professor at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and currently teaches at Barcelona East School of Engineering (EEBE). Since 2017 he is Graphic and Design Engineering Department deputy director at UPC. He has managed more than forty Final Degree Projects in industrial engineering and Master's degree in Secondary and Upper Secondary Education. In recent years, he has been member for Evaluation Commissions for providing teaching positions at UPC. He has been member at Academic Practice Evaluation Group (GRAPA) and Academic Planning and Quality Commission (CPAiQ). He is part from research group: Project Engineering: Design, Sustainability and Communication. He has more than thirty years of professional experience in graphic design and civil engineering education. He has collaborated in various European LIFE projects. He is currently participating in the competitive project “Construction and evaluation for innovative capacities in the academic sector” sponsored by Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development (CYTED).

Doctor in Architecture for Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona-ETSAB at Polytechnic University of Catalonia-UPC. Industrial Engineer by EUETIB- UPC. She is graduated in Fine Arts, with Design speciality at Barcelona University-UB. She is currently professor at Barcelona East School of Engineering- EEBE- UPC with the UPC, teaching Graphic Expression in Engineering. She teaches also in Universitat Oberta de Catalunya-UOC and the design school- ENTI-UB. She has developed tasks as education consultant, creating and promoting new postgraduate training, with a strong University-Company relationship. She has been master manager and training coordinator. She has always combined her academic experience with a professional career in design and engineering, collaborating on design projects in building companies. For her strong defence for gender equality, she collaborates with different organizations: to give visibility to scientific and technical profiles in girls and women, as ODEE- Observatori Dona, Empresa i Economia-ODEE in Barcelona Commerce Chamber, 50a50, Forum Dona Activa. She has been mentor in several entrepreneurship women programs. She has participated in a Focus Group in Science and Technology at Catalonia Parliament to work for gender and equality laws.
