About the author

A.K. Sharma

Dr. A.K. Sharma obtained B.SC. (Ag) from Mohan La1 Sukhadia University, Udaipur in 1985. Later he completed his M.Sc. Ag. in 1988 andPh.D. in2001 in Plant Breeding & Genetics from Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. He worked in various capacities beginning from Sr. Technical Assistant in research projects to Professor. He is teaching the courses on Principles of Plant breeding and Breeding of field and Hort. crops in UG and Plant Breeding, Mutagenesis and Mutation breeding , and Plant Biotech. to Post graduate students. He guided several students for their M.Sc. thesis. Dr. Sharma has to his credit more about 30 research papers published in various scientific journals of repute.


Ramavtar Sharma

Dr. Ramavtar Sharma did his post-graduation and doctorate from IARI, New Delhi inGenetics. He started his career as Assistant Professor in Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner in 1989. He was then selected as Associate professor in 1996 in the same university. He did his postdoctoral training during 1995-1997, from NRCPB, New Delhi, with fellowship of DBT, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. Recently, he has joined Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Jodl-~puar s Principal Scientist. He has vast experience of working in cytogenetics, genetics, plant breeding and molecular biology.
