Aufbauend auf einem eigens dafür entwickelten theoretischen Bezugsrahmen wird eine großzahlige empirische Befragung projektverantwortlicher Entscheidungsträger durchgeführt. Es wird gezeigt, dass erlebte und antizipierte Emotionen Einfluss auf die Eskalationstendenz nehmen und bedeutende Mediatoren der Wirkungen eingesetzter Deeskalationsmaßnahmen sind.
