I've only just gotten into baseball cards, and this book was extremely helpful on the older collections. I can't think of anyplace else where you can find all of this knowledge in one place. A great read and very informative!

Before it was a business, the game of baseball was fun and something uniquely American. This book gives a glimpse into the early days, the days "Before there was Bubble Gum."
Note: For younger readers, that's how baseball cards used to come. At every store in the 50s and 60s, you could find packets of bubble gum for a penny, with a collectable baseball card inside.
This book takes you back to the early days of baseball, with images from the past. It's written by the owner of the largest business in collectable baseball cards. He knows the history of the game and this art form -- baseball cards.
A fun read.
