About the author
Christopher Ackiss gained experience in Transportation working in the field, in manufacturing, and in the grocery distribution center environment. He served primarily as a Supervisor and Transportation Manager in different facilities where quick action was necessary to ensure the distribution center and transportation department were successful.
When he discovered very limited published material on the subject existed, he compiled this information to inform managers in the field of Transportation. Mr. Ackiss holds a BA in History from East Carolina University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and various certificates in management, quality control, and transportation.
