About this ebook

A 5 yr old's frightful diary of an event that began when a neighboring mom took it upon herself to break the news that Santa was a fraud.  Despair, depression and feelings of betrayal engulfed this little girl who had seen Santa every Christmas morning, quietly placing presents under her tree.

The steps taken by her grandfather to draw her out of her depression can only be described as miraculous.

Recommended as adult reading by the 5 yr old co-author herself, this story is ideal subject matter for when your child first begins to doubt her trust in Santa Claus and the risk of losing the Christmas Spirit ensues.

WOW!! Very Freshly Inspiring, Cleverly written and remarkably Practical! What Can I say? I am so touched....warmed by this little tale! Its brilliant....really. I loved it. This may sound trite, but, I really did laugh and it did bring me to tears..... Loved the inspiring twist and heart warming add-in toward the end (chills) - defini a Hallmark special if not big screen! Even if someone did not love and relate to children the way I do (they might even feel somewhat like the book's Beverly, a woman who is lonely and deprived of hope) they would feel a refreshing in their soul as the Hope that is found in Christmas is re-born. They could allow themselves to re-kindle their own hope and extension toward their fellow-man. How relevant at these times more than ever...... The way Calarco, the author, captured Gianna's account and communicated her perspective of events is clever, adult-friendly in humor (I could feel myself "winking" inside as I chuckled) and he navigated the nuances so often missed by adults. I tell you what, if I had seen that 5yr old in that cute little suit and heard her adorable yet, remarkable words even I'd had the "Christmas Spirit" all over again!

About the author

Gianna Marie Medina
Gianna Marie was a happy, healthy five year old when her world was suddenly filled with doubt and despair.  Happy to send her annual letter to Santa, everything changed when her heard news that the whole Santa Story was a fake. The deception was too much for her young mind to handle She became confused and withdrawn and felt that her parents had lied to her, which was equally devastating to her young parents.

When Gianna's maternal grandfather stepped in to allow her to experience the Spirit of Christmas, her trust was renewed and at a very young age she gained tremendous insight into the meaning of giving and the spirit that touches those who feel joy in helping others.

In retrospect, today Gianna attributes her experiences contained in this short but meaningful book to her personal outlook on life.  She graduated college with high honors and a Bachelors degree in Science and Microbiology, she has travelled to New Orleans to help Katrina victims rebuild their homes. She travelled to Greece to exchange and share theories and she has assisted families in Appalachia to convert their modest dwellings to a more liveable environment.  She is currently engaged in an international project to research, nurture and promote advanced methods of alternative medicine that will change the world as we know it.

Donald Charles Calarco
A devoted and attentive family man and husband who helped to raise three wonderfully creative and productive daughters, five granddaughters and a grandson for good measure, Calarco founded American Marketing in 1982.  His company was billed as a marketing services agency, however his passion was always to find the most effective and appropriate solution for problems faced by small, local entrepreneurs as well as Fortune 500 corporations.  During his career, he began to excel as a copywriter and spent most of his business career writing motivational copy for incentive programs, brochures, training manuals and product promotions.

His most enduring and exhausting task was assuming the position of chief architect for an electronic medical record software program appropriately named "Remedy".

One would expect that his personal pastime would be spent on golf or other relaxing activities.  Well, it does, in a small way.  Instead, he is most likely found at his keyboard or in his kitchen.  Always creating and always working.

As the founder and executive director  of American Marketing, Calarco and his creative team have been involved in the development and execution of some very recognizable concepts, as well as others which may never get noticed.  He has designed and created concepts for the National Football Leage, AT&T, Ameritech, the Chicago Cubs, The Associates Commercial Corporation,. Allied Domecq Spirits, MPS Remedy 2.0, Inc. and many more.

His devotion to writing began at a young age and will continue until his fingers can no longer transpose his thoughts to an empty page.

His writing style has been described as the equivalent of reading a screenplay, as each page comes alive with visuals sent directly to your minds eye.

His first two books were children's books;  "Is Santa For Real" and "In a Dandelions World", both published by Outskirts Press, Inc..  He will soon self publish his first fictional novel "The Cylinders  -  We are the one!",

When an accidental discovery in South America leads to a lifetime pact between total strangers, only one among them takes the promise to heart and hands it down to his next generaton.
Driven by an intense desire to unleash the secrets that lie inside the mysterious cylinder given to him by his infamous father, one man starts
a chain reaction of events that draws the attention of the F.B.I. , C.I A. and a cadre of governmental security agencies from around the globe.
Brenda Tyler-Crane disrupts her dead end job at the C.I.A. when her best friend disappears without a trace. Within days, several international
kidnappings occur which seem to tie total strangers to the cause of his disappearance.
Soon after all the hostages are found, a new discovery shocks the world’s scientific community and leaves the most eloquent among them
holding the keys to the future of mankind and totally lost for words.
